Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA or B.B.A.)

BBA, a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration, the degree is designed to give a broad knowledge of the functional aspects of a company and their interconnection, while also allowing for specialization in a particular area. Almost all the private & public varsities in the country offer BBA program.

IBA At a glance

IBA was founded in 1966 in collaboration with Indiana University, Bloomington, USA, under a Ford Foundation Financial Assistance Program with the objective of providing professional training to create future business leaders. The founder-director of IBA is Professor M. Shafiullah.

IBA began its journey by launching its flagship MBA program. In the 1970s, the MPhil and PhD programs were introduced. In response to the growing demand for business education at the undergraduate level, the BBA program was started in 1993. In 2007, the Executive MBA program was launched to cater to the growing demand for quality education among mid-career executives.

In a proud history spanning more than four decades, the teachers and students of IBA have partnered together to achieve an enviable level of excellence in Bangladesh.


Selection Criteria

For SSC and HSC or equivalent exam passed students

SSC/Equivalent Exam Passing Year: 2010-2013

HSC/Equivalent Exam Passing Year: 2015 (ONLY)

Total GPA (SSC/Equivalent+ HSC/Equivalent): 7.50 (including 4th Subject)

For IGCSE/O Level and IAL/GSE A Level or equivalent exam passed students

IGCSE/O Level /Equivalent Exam Passing Year: 2010-2013

No of Subjects: at least 5 (including Math)

IAL/GSE A Level /Equivalent Exam Passing Year: 2015 (at least one subject)

No of Subjects: at least 2

Minimum Grade: at least 4 B and 3 C
