IBA MBA ৬৭ ইনটেকে আমার ভাইভা অভিজ্ঞতা

আমার ভাইভা ছিল একদম প্রথম স্লটে, ১ নম্বর বোর্ডে। সময় হাতে নিয়ে বের হই আর প্রায় ৩০ মিনিট আগেই IBA তে পৌঁছে যাই। এরপর ডকুমেন্টগুলো চেক করে আমাকে অপেক্ষা করতে বলা হলো।
And believe it or not, that felt like the longest wait of my life.
নির্ধারিত সময়েই ( ৫/১০ মিনিট পর হয়তো) আমাকে ডাকা হলো। রুমের বাইরে গিয়ে দাঁড়ালাম। বাইরে কলিং বেল বাজতেই আমাকে ভেতরে যেতে বলা হলো।

There were 5 teachers in my viva board.

Me: May I come in?
Teacher 1: Yes, you may.
— I gave salam and walked to my seat.
Teacher 1: Have a seat.
— I sat down.

Teacher 1: So you are from FBS (DU)?
Me: Yes, sir.
Teacher 1: Which batch?
Me: 25th batch.

Teacher 2: Your BBA passing year is 2022. When was your result published?
(FBS had a session lag due to COVID-19 and they were aware of it.)
Me: My BBA results were published in 2024, ma’am.

Teacher 3: And what have you been doing since then?
Me: Ma’am, I mostly prepared for IBA MBA… (in short).
Teacher 3: You didn’t do your MBA from FBS?
Me: No, ma’am.
(Actually I did, but I avoided mentioning it to skip unnecessary questions.)

Teacher 3: Why? (Surprised) It was basically a free MBA. Why didn’t you enroll?
(Later I found out she was from my own department in FBS!)
Me: Ma’am, I mostly wanted to…
— She didn’t let me finish and continued.

Teacher 3: IBA is not guaranteed, you know that, right? What will you do if you don’t get in?
Me: Ma’am, I will focus on jobs in that case.
Teacher 3: Okay.

Teacher 2: Which job do you prefer?
Me: Ma’am, I want to work in the corporate sector.
Teacher 2: Which part of corporate?
Me: I prefer the banking sector, but if I get opportunities in MNCs, I would also love to consider those.

Teacher 2: What problems are banks facing at this moment?
— I answered, but she didn’t seem satisfied.
Teacher 3: Can you be more specific?
— I answered again, this time with pinpoint details. She seemed convinced.

Teacher 4: What can we do to mitigate the problems you just mentioned?
— I answered accordingly.

Teacher 1: Okay, we are done here. You may go now.
Me: Thank you, sir!
— Conveyed salam and got out of the room.

(And yeah… they didn’t ask me to check my results on the 31st — which I was stressed about!) 😂

Alhamdulillah, on December 31st the results came out, and I got selected.
